On a coach to london...

Feb. 7th, 2010 | 09:40 am
location: coach
mood: sore sore
music: Konna ni chikaku

Well... I'm not much of an avid poster so there are quite a lot of things to update, however I am extremely lazy these days so I'll skip most of it for another time,

At the moment I'm sat on a coach from bristol to london to see my older brother James (who some of you may have met at the cosplay ball), he's recently been working in davos supporting the geneva convention so he and his team decided to take in some R&R and do a bit of snowboarding, all was going great and they were having a great time until something went slightly wrong and james ended up hitting his head on something,

we can't tell what happened because he got himself some quite nasty concussion and amnesia and can't remember the fall at all. (I don't think he wants to really? So he was found sat down looking at his I phone wondering who all the emails were from,

the day it happened he didn't regognise anyone in his phone and couldn't remember the entire week he was in davos, thankfully he's much better now and is back home waiting for me to bring him cake and hugs,

I'm only going down for the day but at least I'll get to see him and put my mind at ease a bit, its scairy to think that while I was grumbling away in work oblivious, my brother was miles away in a hospital having scans to see if he'd be brain damaged...

I mean this is the second time he's had a sketchy holiday experience (after nearly drowning in vietnam) and it just feelf a bit... well... odd I guess, I'm not really sure how to discribe it... I spose you could say unreal... he's always the only one I know who literaly can do ANYTHING I'm not even kidding, he's got mutant abilities or some shit because I swear he can't be human... so to think of him getting hurt like this... I'm not really sure how I'll react when I see him, either way I'm not gonna pussy out and run away, he's my big bro and I'll always be there fo him no matter how weirded out I might get

Ok well that was longer than I intended it to be (sorry about that)

Oh btw I had my first hpv jab, it hurt like hell and I have my 2nd one in 5 weeks,
Although I got a sexy yellow mr bump plaster to cover my baddy from it so it wasn't so bad

thanks to anyone that managed to read through al that and I appologise for the typos/spellings

Xx much love xX

to all ye bristolians... and those willing to travel or drive

Jan. 23rd, 2010 | 12:15 am
location: home (posting from my mobile)
mood: contemplative contemplative
music: binks sake

Hey hey bristolinians...
Does anyone fancy coming with me to learn to snowboard?
I'm thinking of going on the 6th of feb cuz mike has to work and I know he's not really feeling it...
So I'm. Planning on going to:

von Ski & Action Centre
Lyncombe Drive
Churchil
North Somerset
BS25 5PQ

I have 3 spare seats in my car so if you do fancy coming along for some dry slope giggles its first come first served, (unless you are willing to drive)

Also just to kick me in the metaphorical financial balls, my GP has said (all be it late) that due to my familt history its strongly advisable that I have the HPV vaccine, and because of my age I can't get it on the NHS, so its gonna cost me either £300 - £600 to have them privately... I hate jabs at the best of times but that's going to make it all the more painful, =(

So have any of you ladies had the jabs or are concidering having them??

Well that's all from me for the time being, I know its been a small age since my last post but I've been very lazy of late and trying to figure out what I can sell or save before japan...I don't need all my organs right??

LOOKING FOR A C.C.

Aug. 25th, 2009 | 11:36 pm
location: home
mood: loved loved

i'm looking for a volunteer that has no plans for the cosplay ball yet

my brother (below) dosnt know yet but i'm planning on dragging him to this years cosplay ball, he's half up for it already but has some reservations about me putting him in a random costume on his own, and i dont think any of the  girls he knows are reallythe cosplaying type

seeing and mike and i are doing costumes from this code geass artwork (the couple in white) we thought it would be fun to get him in on it, so i am looking for a lady that would be willing to be a forth for our group, (green hair black dress) providing he agrees to wear the counterpart (guy in black)

gimmie a shout if you are interested and please never mention that i pimped him out on LJ

I wonder how easy it is to get ordained online... oh so its that easy

Jul. 31st, 2009 | 11:11 pm

yep, just as it says on the tin...
today i earned my ordainment

after a good 20mins of swearing to uphold and respect religious views and beliefs and promising to obay the law
(and promising not to marry animals) i was granted my title of reverand, apparently i have to register with my local authorities becore i can perform and weddings, baptisms or exorsisms (LOL) but ULC have set up camp in the uk now so its all legal....

i might just hold off on leading congrigations just yet... am considering getting my title on my bank card changed though XD

needless to say its a bad idea to have a conversation with me in a pub and suggest its not that easy to get ordained

(oh and just in case any of you are concerned, i'm not taking this too seriously)

Morally Repressed Mattel Pulls “Vibrating” Harry Potter Broomstick

Jul. 30th, 2009 | 07:03 pm

you may have already seen this as an email but its soo funny i have to share,
the Amazon reviews make it so much worse

In yet another sign that we live in the United States of the Morally Repressed toy maker giant Mattel pulled what was sure to be the hottest Christmas item this century (or at least the wettest). The Harry Potter Nimbus 2000 Broom, a replica of the famous flying stick used by boy wizard Harry Potter has girls and their moms flying with glee.

Here’s a few reviews from the Amazon listing before it was also pulled (imagine that).

This toy was #1 on my daughter’s Christmas list. So what the heck, although it has no educational value I figured it would be good for imaginative play. It wasn’t until after she opened her gift and started playing with it that I realized that the toy may offer a more than sensational experience. The broomstick has cute sound effects and ***VIBRATES*** when they put it between their legs to fly. Come on—what were the creators of this toy thinking? She’ll keep playing with the Nimbus 2000, but with the batteries removed.

I recently bought this for my son, Vantro. He’s a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Seen the movie 32 times (in the theaters) and made the paper. This toy gives him the ability to fly around the house zapping things. My only problem I see with the toy is the batteries drain too fast and his sister fights him over it, so now I need to buy her one.

When my 12 year old daughter asked for this for her birthday, I kind of wondered if she was too old for it, but she seems to LOVE it. Her friends love it too! They play for hours in her bedroom with this great toy. They really seem to like the special effects it offers (the sound effects and vibrating). My oldest daughter (17) really likes it too! I reccomend this for all children.

My 12 year old daughter is a big Harry Potter fan, and loved the part with the Nimbus 2000, so I decided to buy her this toy. I was afraid she would think it was too babyish, but she LOVES this toy. Even my daughter’s friends enjoy playing with this fun toy. I was surprised at how long they can just sit in her room and play with this magic broomstick! A great buy for any Harry Potter fan! :)

If your quick, there’s a couple of auctions on eBay selling the broom. Once word gets out they’ve been yanked from shelves the prices are sure to skyrocket. Leave it to this country to find something wrong in a kids toy… DOH!

Here’s a couple of pics of the “toy” off eBay:

Delayed Update =D

Jul. 29th, 2009 | 11:18 pm
location: home (soon to be in bed)
mood: accomplished accomplished
music: ace combat background music

*Happy Sigh*

I was going to update this earlier but failed because I'm a giant rubbish!!

About 2 weeks ago I applied for a different position at work, there were 2 open slots and 6 people went for it, I didn't hold much hope as I knew 2 of the people going for it had far more in depth experence than me so I got through my interview on tuesday and didn't think much more about it,

then on thursday the head of the department comes and says they have made a decision and they want me in for a meeting in 20 mins, (after 2 days?? i must have been bad)
so i go in convinced i'm getting the "you all did very well... but" speach (which she gave me) and then said that i got the job!!, they decided to take of 3 out of the 6 of us, me and the 2 girls i know

was it innapropreate to scream and do a little shuffle dance in the chair???
i neither know nor care, but thats what i did, i got the job and get to persue people myself now and not just assist!!!

yays!! go me!!
i've been there 7 months in support and assistance and now (as of monday just gone) i finaly get to sign my own letters with my own name on them and everything!!

I'm way too lazy to write my own report so you can have this for now

I slept in until 3 today and I'm still tired, cant be right surely???

I went for an internal role at work this week, I have no idea when I find out but it would be nice to get it and have a bit of a pay rise, my rubbish salary atm means I have less funds to buy shoes with and I don't like it, (I don't like it at all)

i made a start on my website, i didn't really do much with it, i just used a crappy site builder, my brother wants to make me a proper site (he does that sort of thing for a living) that's less crappy but i figured i'd get the site how i want is and then just buy the domain name later

its not finished but if yo wanna peek you can:
